Could A Mineral Deficiency Be Causing You Fatigue?

March 23, 2023 3 min read

Being perpetually tired is usually a sign of an underlying health issue, especially if you're getting a full night's sleep. Energy levels are closely connected to the nutrients we take in.

There’s a saying “you are what you eat”, however it should be “you are what you absorb.  Even if you’re eating a healthy diet, if your cells fail to absorb the nutrients, they simply pass right through you. Mineral deficiency occurs when your body not only lacks minerals but also if it can't absorb the required amount of minerals.

A few decades ago it was easy to get trace minerals simply through diet because many people grew their own crops organically and had a variety of crops in the same ground, which helped the soil to stay balanced.

Today, it’s almost impossible to get the trace minerals you need from diet alone, due to commercial farming techniques being extremely harsh on soil. Individual crops are planted on thousands of acres of land at a time, with no other crops mixed in. This lack of biodiversity leaches the ground of specific minerals that never get replaced.

Furthermore, most land is farmed year after year, without a break. This prevents the land from “resting” and allowing nature to replenish the soil. Many crops are sprayed with toxic pesticides and herbicides, which seep into the ground and poison the food we eat.

Because farmland is overused and under-rested, the fruits and vegetables we eat today don’t have the same nutritional value as they used to have 60 years ago. Soil ain't soil anymore!

Studies have shown extreme variation in the nutrient value from foods nowadays versus the 1950's. For example:

  • 1 bowl of spinach then = 42 bowls of spinach today
  • 1 orange then = 9 oranges today
  • 1 apple then = 6-12 apples today

Unfortunately, because trace minerals in the soil have been destroyed and due to choosing nutrient-depleted foods, it's now estimated around 90% of people worldwide are deficient in micronutrients. Minerals can’t be made by the body, so they need to be sourced externally through foods rich in minerals such as nuts, seeds, avocados and leafy greens, and/or via a high quality organic mineral supplement.

It makes sense to consider that many people's bodies may be in a perpetual state of starvation if they aren't getting the nutrients they need. This is a leading factor as to why people eat so much and are never really satisfied.

Food will never be enough without mineral rich soil.

Fulvic acid is a gift from Nature and ours is sourced from a rare mineral bed that has the nutrient composition to deliver 77 trace minerals, elements and amino acids in a 1ml serve.

Not only is it potent, it's critical for nutrient absorption because it's bioavailable.  In other words, it’s easily absorbed into your blood when you consume it. Fulvic is packed with the dense nutrient composition that soil used to have and easily binds to other nutrients and minerals, which enables your body to absorb them, instead of having them pass straight through you. It is also an amazing heavy metal extractor.

Fulvic acid super-charges the overall retention and efficient use of nutrients from all the foods and supplements you're consuming.

The benefits of supplementing with our good quality, water extracted, organic fulvic acid are diverse. They range from improving gut health and immune function, to lowering free radical damage and inflammation. Fulvic is also an amazing beauty aid, improving skin texture and helping to strengthen and grow hair and nails.

For all these reasons, we advocate a mineral rich diet in combination with regular fulvic acid supplementation, which will assist in overcoming any possible nutrient deficiencies that may lead to fatigue. It may be the missing link that will help you to greet every new day full of energy and vitality!
